On this day 15th April 1944 Dave Edmunds was born in Cardiff. The guitarist, vocalist, producer who had a No.5 UK hit Sabre Dance with his band Love Sculpture which was followed in 1970 with a solo No.1 UK and No.4 US hit with 'I Hear You Knocking '.
A much sought after producer he recorded and toured regularly as part of Rockpile, a band comprising of Nick Lowe, Terry Williams and Billy Bremner. He recently retired from the music business.
