On this day, 14 Feb 1976, rock band 10cc played the first of two nights at Cardiff’s Capitol Theatre.
The tour was in support of their recently released album How Dare You!
Support for the evening was provided by Chas and Dave.
How Dare You! was their fourth album and included UK hit singles "I'm Mandy Fly Me" and "Art for Art's Sake". The album was the band's third to have cover artwork by the Hipgnosis creative team.
It was the last album to feature the original line-up of Lol Creme, Kevin Godley, Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman before Godley and Creme left to concentrate on the Gizmo, a guitar effect and their mammoth opus Consequences whilst Stewart and Gouldman retained the name and went on to record Deceptive Bends.
