On this day, 28 March 1988, American rocker Meatloaf played The Centre, Newport with support provided by rock band Shogun.


It was the singer’s Lost Boys & Golden Girls World Tour celebrating the tenth anniversary of the release of his chart topping Bat Out Of Hell album.
