On This Day The Clash 26/11/1978

On this day, 26 November 1978, the iconic punk band The Clash played the Top Rank, Cardiff as part of their Sort It Out tour. Support was supplied by The Slits.

The band were promoting their second album Give Em Enough Rope, released earlier in the month and the first to include the drumming of Topper Headon.

It was the band’s second visit to Cardiff in 1978 following a gig they played at the same venue in July on the On Parole tour.
